Logan Cummings, M.S. Graduate Student, Clinical Science (+Certificate in Cognitive Neuroscience)
I graduated from The University of Tampa and then worked as a research assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC). I study the relation between neurodevelopment and the escalation of self-injurious behaviors (e.g., suicide, non-suicidal self-injury) in adolescence. I joined the REMEDY Research Group because of the opportunity to receive training in Clinical Science and Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience under the co-mentorship of Drs. Dana McMakin and Aaron Mattfeld. My dissertation uses behavioral tasks and fMRI to examine the relation between reward sensitivity and nonsuicidal self-injury.
